It Gets Better UK exists to tell your story, and to inspire and empower young LGBTQ+ people. The aim is to both archive the stories of LGBTQ+ people, but also to combat the high levels of self-harm and suicide in LGBT+ youth by providing role models and the positive message that “It Gets Better”.

Every person has their story, and they are important and powerful. If you would be interested in making a video for us and sharing your message then we’ve created some guidance so that you can add your voice, and your message to our platform. Your history, your words, your message can change the lives of thousands of people.

Marathon Runner - London Marathon 2025

Are you passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ youth? Here’s your chance to make a real difference! We have one charity place available in the 2025 London Marathon, and we’re looking for a dedicated runner to join our cause.

By running for It Gets Better UK, you’ll be raising vital funds to help us continue our mission of empowering LGBTQ+ youth to live freely and confidently. We’re seeking an enthusiastic individual who can commit to raising a minimum of £2,000 to support our work.
